We Are Silent
"MAY 30TH
Pledge to stay silent as many hours as you can.
Support Free the Children in two ways:
1. raise awareness about youth in poverty who do not have a voice in their life
2. collect donations and pledges using pledge form to support children (pledge form can be found below)

Remember, in order to participate, you need to BOTH stay silent AND collect pledges! Do not just be lazy and stay silent without donating; that makes Student Council look bad, and shows that you are not a committed person.
It is YOUR responsibility to tell your teacher BEFOREHAND that you are participating in this event! If you're teacher requires you to participate, then you can stop being silent for that class period, and not count that hour of silence.
On MAY 30TH, wear a post-it or name sticker that says "silent" to show that you are a participant."
"You are highly encouraged to stay silent digitally (no chatting, no texting or posting online) on May 30th, too!"
